Test Units
Recommended (1 per system) for use with base units or receivers.  The frequency of 121.65 is dedicated for testing and non-emergency.

Test Units Provide Ability for Simulated Rescue Training and System Testing.

ALERT and RESCUE SEQUENCE

  1. Submarine in normal operation.
  2. Submarine gets into difficulty.
  3. Crewman wearing PLB8-MS Submariner Personal Locator Beacon exits submarine (with Personal locator Beacon around his neck, his hands are free) Personal Locator Beacon automatically activates after 5 seconds immersion as crewman rises to surface.
  4. Crewman reaches surface with Personal Locator Beacon already transmitting. The 121.5 MHz signal and ‘SOS’ light signal from each crewman wearing a PLB is tracked by rescue teams and the Crewman is recovered.
